Available in an attractive black or white the Samsung N145 looks incredible as well as performing on the same level. The chrome finish really looks fantastic and you will certainly be impressed when you’re removing the N145 from the box.

After you’ve marvelled at how attractive the netbook is, the next thing you’ll notice about the Samsung N145 is the weight. The Samsung N145 is one of the very few netbooks I have come across that is so light, you don’t even notice it when you’re carrying it around. Of course, the overall mobility of this netbook is what made it one of the best-selling netbooks of 2010 and now 2011 so perhaps you already knew that?

Appearance aside, performance is what you really want from your netbook and the Samsung N145 performs all the duties you would want it to and many more. For those of you that are familiar with Windows 7 you’ll immediately come to terms with the layout (it is pretty much the same as on a normal computer only shrunk down to size) which leads to a minimal learning curve and of course, less frustration on you’re side of things.

There is nothing worse than unpackaging you’re new electronical item only for the excitement to be short lived due to having your head inside a manual for 3 hours, it is safe to say this is not a problem you’ll encounter with the simplistic N145.

Browsing the internet, watching movies, listening to music, finishing off work are all things you can do effortlessly with the Samsung N145.Whatever you want to do on the move, the Samsung N145 will accomodate…

So, we’ve heard about the positives, are there any negatives?

Well, nothing is perfect and although I’m a huge fan of the Samsung N145 there are of course a couple of things I didn’t like about it.

First of all, the battery life.

On the box it states that the 6 cell battery lasts “10 hours” but in reality, this is not the case. Whilst the battery life is still not bad, don’t expect to reach the full 10 hours if you’re watching movies on the move, listening to music or playing games on the net. Expect the battery to last you around 8 hours if you’re using your netbook fairly intensely.

My last complaint is of the webcam, now I myself don’t really use the webcam for anything but I know a lot of my readers do so I will state that the quality of it is a bit disappointing.

The webcam was described as being “high quality” but actually, it is 0.3 megapixels (the same as your run of the mill webcam you can pick up for £9.99).

So no major issues, but a couple of things you should certainly consider before you buy you’re Samsung N145.

Final Word – Samsung N145

The Samsung N145 is a fantastic piece of equipment which is an absolute steal at the current price. Considering similar netbooks with the same techinical details sell for nearly double what this netbook costs you can’t help but appreciate what Samsung have done here.

You’re not going to be able to run a huge company from it but you’ll pretty much be able to do everything else and for under £200 too.

Samsung rarely make a bad piece of electronical equipment and the Samsung N145 is certainly another winner in my eyes and I’m sure you’ll feel the same very soon…
